And I have no place to put it! Possibly 8 cords of Fir rounds. Lots of straight grained rounds. Some of the wood presents a challenge but permission to use the next door driveway would make most of it much easier. I have put in an emergency call to a nearby member 20200217_131230_resized.jpg 20200217_135727_resized.jpg 20200217_135729_resized.jpg 20200217_135735_resized.jpg 20200217_135908_resized.jpg so maybe he can benefit from all this wood. This is just killing me. I made fun of buZZsaw BRAD and his blood pressure over not getting to his Locust score. Now karma has come back to haunt me.

campinspecter would love to help you out with that but the commute is a bit far. We even have an empty spot in the wood shed.

How about moving it to a friend or neighbor's property, in exchange for some free firewood?

Plenty of good ideas, and some weird ones. I have been racking my brains for a place to store more wood but no practical options. I guess I am stuck with waiting til the end of the burning season when I can shift about two cords of outside wood into the shed. that would mean I could get two new cords. I guess I have to hope for a wind storm about that time to put people in mind of taking down trees again. Then again, maybe I could put the back seat down in my wife's Highlander and store half a rick back there!?

That was my first thought, but they can be around a hundred bucks a month for a 10x20 space. Sometimes a lot more for conditioned storage.
Outdoor storage, maybe behind a chainlink fence might be cheap enough. A lot of that isn't advertised though, in part due to renting/leasing space to people you don't know. It can be a hassle, especially a shared space.

I guess the definition of “in the doghouse” can have either some stricter rules or flexible ones. “Honey what’s this new pile doing over here?!?!” You say “ Good grief Santa was late this year!”
