Well, that would be great except the work network is not allowing my computer in from home (had connectivity for about an hour yesterday, then it booted me off). Was able to attend a couple of webex meetings via my home computer, but gotta go in to work today and get IT to do some magic - I have to be at work for them to do anything.

    Yes indeed.
The Packmasters are not wanted by the private sector much....they are simply way too wide.

I can fix that little problem.

Going to narrow the tub by 4 inches, then the frame and axles by 26"

Currently 92" on center of the idler tires....knock it down to 66"

    Cut the tracks down too.
Remove the outer bands, shorten the grousers....cut the outer bands and add them right along side of the inner ones to get a total symmetrical track at 36" wide

    Total cat width at 102"
    Street legal, trailering legal.

The Astro van is 77 inches wide (Without mirrors)
Tracks will extend 12-1/2" beyond the body on each side.

The Packmaster was a great machine in it's day.. Actually state of the art.

    Then came the Hydromaster...

Same basic size, just hydrostatic drive.

These are nice...but repairs can cost in the mega $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ if the hydraulics die..

The Sunstrand swash pumps and motors are spendy.

The Packmaster still uses the OC12 planetary diffy... Nothing is cheap...but at least the OC12 is not national debt spendy.
