I'll probably see here more once the weather warms up. I'm curious too.

Good morning everyone! All I managed yesterday was to bring wood in, then it got too drizzly. Today is nice and sunny, so I'll make the most of it. I hope you all can get outside too. c3jlSup.jpg Have a great one everybody!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. Don't know what direction to go today. Got wood we need to cut it do some clean up work with tractor, saw and brush cutter for a neighbor and make a little $$...might need to do that since we paid car insurance and house insurance this week...:headbang:...
I'll make the best of the day possible.
Hope y'all find something fun and enjoyable to do.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Yhat would make some nice eating. Fillet them out. Roll in flour, salt and pepper and fry them up in butter. Ummm

They are good if they are fixed in a cast iron pan in butter over a nice wood fire outside.

I like to roll the fillets in flour, then dip in egg, then roll in 50/50 mix of panko/crushed corn flakes. Deep fry in canola or peanut oil in a cast iron pan. Salt/pepper to taste.

I make a tartar sauce of Helmans mayo, yellow mustard, a splash of lemon juice, fresh ground black pepper, and chopped up dill pickles. Besides the tartar sauce we also like sweet/hot chili sauce for dipping.

My wife likes to make a fish sandwich with buttered toast and my tartar sauce. I like that too, but also enjoy sides of wild rice and a vegetable, or cole slaw.

Makes me hungry just thinking about it!

What are you going to do with your fresh fish Brandon Scott? Can't really go wrong with fresh crappie and sunfish no matter how you cook it! Hope you got a mess of those beauties!

This is my friend Greg. We ended up with 23 nice fish. Beautiful day, 87 and sunny.

These were frozen for Greg’s family. This is an incredible sustainable fishery. You could catch close to a limit of 25 each every day if you wanted. We don’t abuse the system. Just take what you need. Remember......pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered...

Looking at all that water and good fishing habitat in the background, I can tell there is a strong carrying capacity for fish with all the ample cover and productive water. I bet it is teeming with life.

Worked about 2 1/2 hrs at our neighbor's place by myself. My hunny had a few errands to do with our daughter. 0212201248.jpg
I don't think my northern friends are the only ones with MUD... 0212201038.jpg 0212201037.jpg Didn't think I was gonna get out of that first spot. Had to quit for the afternoon and do some other things. Maybe it will dry out soon, and we can finish. Where I was having to pile the brush is bad muddy too...I had to leave the last pile I had on the forks until later...

You can’t imagine the baitfish in the water. Year round growing season and they feed voraciously. I will get more pics soon of the amount of vegetation.

The F&W guys do aerial surveys of the lake every year. They told me there are hundreds and hundreds of bluegill and shellcracker beds that go undiscovered every year. A lot of places you just can’t get to because of vegetation. These beds can be a half acre in diameter. The fish have a way of sustaining themselves.
