Is anyone "currently" having any issues, problems with pay or information with the VA? Let me know if you are, via PM! I found something "ugly" crawing in the "political" realm and will not discuss it in open forum...
It took 15 months and a trip to the DAV (3 hours one way) to get VA approved and start paying survivor benefits to my grandmother. I’d do the drive again in a heart beat rather than try to read the 300 pages of paperwork they requested and after 6 months get a letter back stating the application was rejected because “initialed pages require a period after each letter” or some other stupid reason.
Yes, everything has been approved. I could not even begin to comprehend what all forms they wanted filled out. Made a day trip to the DAV, they made it very easy and painless. Except the screening and security. It is easier to get on an airplane than into Federal Buildings!
ive had nothing but problems with the va .... recently i was denied medical care for broken ribs by them when alls they had 2 do was a quick check up and some imaging ..... before that i tried getting my hip checked out and was told that its extremely illegal to get checked out and would be arrested on the spot if i stayed. before that stepped on a rusty nail couldnt sleep hold down food or water my dr's nurse wanted to fight me before that fell off my roof onto my head and was told what do u want me to do about that.... before that i brok3 a few bones in my shoulder that i just had surgery on and was told if i knew my s**** was messed up i should go take my s**** somewere else
I'll be happy to help; First this sounds "really strange" for a Veteran to be turned away from the VA. Call this number; 1-877-222-VETS (8387). You will speak to someone. Next, Are you a "Honorably discharged Veteran"? If not, sadly you won't get care. Whoever told you it was ILLEGAL to be at a VA Hospital, "if you are a Veteran" is full of $#!T! Now, people who are not Veterans Cannot get care through a VA hospital. What VA clinic/Hospital did you go to? I have some very big connections in the VA world. If you prefer to PM me, please do I'll see what I can do to assist. *EDIT* Also, do you have a VA card? Are you registered in they're system? You need to do that before anyone can get care. Contact your local VA office in West Virginia. Here is the closest clinic I believe you are near. Greenbrier County VA Clinic - Beckley VA Medical Center
patrick kozlowski that should never happen to a vet. Definitely follow up with Dave, I'm certain he can help.
There shouldn't EVER be an issue then! Call the number I gave you or here's your next call, West Virginia’s 1st Congressional District - WV-01 Representatives & District Map - GovTrack.us You want to call David McKinley a Republican for your district! He'll get this $#!T fixed!!! Keep me posted...
If you do not get help, let me know! Also, get into the DAV, best group available. These men and Ladies are the best and get stuff right!!! Resources - DAV
so u know bud ive tried this 3 seperate times 1 in my old state of ma with jim mcgovern he ended up siding with the va up there and saying " i agree with there desicion to do this " and 2 times down here in southern wv with congresswoman carol miller with a bit more help but nothing ever really came of it

Do what if I may ask? I know about 300 disabled Vets, and attend meetings with them on a regular basis. I've NEVER known any 100% Disabled Vet to be turned away for care! I am "Baffled" on what/where the problem lies?
