Today was the most fun for me. We rented a car and drove all over. Be glad when we're back in Wisconsin tomorrow.

You know you could buy one out here and have it towed to there, it was only $1300 for us to get a boat from Michigan, which was way below the price one would cost here, including the freight in that cost. And much less worries about rust out here. Heck, ask the other people you know out here !

We had a blast checking out the dam there a few years back (or at least I did ) :D
What a piece of engineering back when it was built!

Buy the truck, then buy a plane ticket. Drive it home. Harder to do with a boat.

Boiler loaded up at 4:30 this morning. It ate through a whole load of Ash rounds between 9PM and 4:30AM. Back to bed for one hour. Then up and caffeine going in. Time to go workout at the gym with my son before the crowd of folks start showing up there. Get there early and we have the place almost to ourselves.

I have been looking seriously only where I can inspect the,. But, I do look at them in Colorado, Wy, SD, ND Neb, Iowa, Wi, Mn, and of course, the L.P. also.

    Yes on the less rust!

I hope you grabbed something form the dam gift shop and maybe had a snack from the dam snack bar. Did you get any dam souvenirs? Where there a lot of dam people running around doing their dam jobs?

How far do you want to take this dam joke? :rofl: :rofl:

Did ya get to take the Dam or dam and powerplant tour ? The power plant tour was closed when we were there in '78. The pool behind the dam was fairly close to full though.

Supposed to be cold this weekend and again next weekend . Might split some oak earmarked for next year to see what the moisture content is. Maybe use some for overnight burns. There's coals left in the morning with the red maple, the stove room can be a little cool at 6 or 7 AM.
Got a little spoiled with big supplies of well seasoned red oak .

Wow, that is a good bit lower than when we were there 10 years ago! Looks like the much feared water shortage issue they are worried about there is a real thing for sure!

Yeah, it's got a lot of miles on it, but that thing doesn't use any oil, and those were the first years of the coyote 5.0 in the trucks. I've still not seen anywhere near that good of a deal on a similar truck, not for that low of $$.

I'll still keep my eyes open for you.
