I sure don't want to see that apple tree. Must have apples the size of beach balls. :)

You need special oil made just for the 880. It is no longer available, but I have several gallons of it for sale for $64.99/gallon. Let me know if you're interested.

Lard. Best oil there is for a chainsaw that size. Smells like bacon when you cut too.

You are really using the wrong saw for trimming apple trees with though. An 880 is no good for pruning trees with. You should really be using a Stihl 090 for pruning fruit trees. I suggest this one with a 6 foot bar. That way you can just stand on the ground and prune those hard to reach areas. It comes with a full case of free lard too. It even has a bar guard on the end there to keep you from doing any bore cuts, and therefore avoid kickback. Bore cuts are to be avoided according to the chainsaw safety rules. You can also smear the bar guard full of lard, and thus help to keep the bar lubed. That way you can use one 'oil' for everything on the saw; premix and bar, and you can even eat it for lunch with any fallen apples.

Well, anyone that has a trained chimp wearing a business suit with a model 1911... has to have some sense of humor.

Sing us a tune, as you must be from Nashville...
