Nah, just an ol' redneck, got to git'ter done. We caught a break on the wood business. Decided to save mama some $$$. Dad taught me well.

 

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. Enjoying another day off. It got down to 28° last night with heavy dew. Iced up good. Got to bring in some more chuglies, that box is empty. Need to finish grinding a few chains, got it set up for the depth gauges now. This afternoon our mission team at church will be cooking the community meal we do every quarter. We take plates to the shut-ins and elderly in our area. We are delivering 53 plates and the feeding the workers. We are cooking pork cube steak, mac and cheese, butter beans, rolls and peach cobbler. It is a fun time to visit and fellowship together.
Enjoy each day, yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn't promised, today is a present.

Hey Thanks everyone, Hope you all have great day, im going out to split a truckload of ash and maple i got yesterday. Just did all the dishes and cleaned up a little in the house, wife doing homework, daughter might come visit from school snd the little guys gonna be a mad man. Hopefully a good madman. See ya

If I'd have known you were coming I would have laid out some scrapple to thaw for ya.

Just head north to central PA. Stop short of Penn State University about 17 miles to the south out in the boondocks. I'll have my lovely wife whip up some sausage gravy and biscuits too!

 

Love the country directions...I would handle the sausage gravy and biscuits. My hunny would eat the scrapple...I tried it at the GTG in Michigan, don't really care for it...maybe we can make it up there one day, see our brothers and sisters in that area.

 

This is the major river, Oconee, in our area, yesterday evening. Flood stage is 22 ft. It was 29 ft last night. They have opened 5 of the 7 flood gates upstream at Sinclair Dam. More rain on the way Monday night...

 

Its not too bad so far.

Good late morning folks. I was up pretty early preparing for conference presentation at our church this morning which just wrapped up.

Warmed up to 5f now. We were at -4f this morning, which felt a little cold compared to the weather we have had so far this winter. That sun today is bright and getting higher in the sky which is really making me realize we are about to turn the corner on winter here within the next 3-4 weeks. But, first there is more snow tonight and tomorrow coming in.

It was about 20' from the bottom of the bridge...no, ma'am we still have a ways till spring...not as long as y'all though.

Got loose ends tied up and left at noon. Just arrived in Valdosta Ga.
