I've been driving by these pine logs that are about a 1/2 mile from my house for 3-4 weeks. A portion of the tree broke off in a storm, and the tree company cut the section into manageable sized pieces and they've been on the side of the road since.

Ended up filling my little truck bed perfectly. It should split up and be exactly 1/3rd of a cord. They seemed a lot smaller driving by than up close. I figured they were 12-14" and I'd be lucky to fill my bed half way. They were in fact 18" diam. and a full load.

Not to you, theres alot its gotta be 30-40 cords and in the spring you can come take whatever you want. I sell to people with outdoor burners, campfire wood and the occasional person that buys into burning seasoned pine indoors, i only have one dry cord rt now because the hardwood is so busy rt now. Since i just got my alaskan saw mill, in spring im going to try and make some lumber. These logs have been sitting for three years, they seem to dry out pretty quick once i css them

If you have a way to move logs you can certainly have some that way too

Cool man thank you. I generally don’t seek out pine but if it’s a quick easy grab and don’t have to deal with the brush I’m all over it. I certainly wouldn’t want to take anything you could sell.

It’s amazing people will pay 300$+ for hardwood and let pine rot all over the place.

The pine ended up filling a 330 gallon tote, with one round and some shorts/ chunks, and cookies left over.

I drove by the spot where I got the Pine, and there are a few other Pine logs about 10-15 feet futher in. These are a little bigger than the ones I got. I'd guess if mine were 18" diameter, then these are probably 22"-24". My goal is to have 3-4 full cords of Pine put up by March 1 of this year, to burn next fall.

I can't leave pine logs laying around here. They get full of grubs. Some just under the bark, some chewing their way around the sapwood and heartwood. Debarking seems to help but I'm not making lumber.

I looked on my towns GIS, and the land the Pine came from is a 213 acre parcel owned by the state of MA. I think I'm going to go back for more this weekend.
