    $50 couldn't pass it up. All chestnut oak. Cambium layer was punky on some but the heartwood was solid. Ended up with 2 full pickup loads.

    Very nice, that sapwood will burn too, doesn't look too bad. Good deal on that. Great firewood.

    Had to resplit some. I think the guy split it by hand and wasn't to energetic

    When I used to split by hand all the time my split sizes would grow as time went on.
    Even using the splittah my split sizes will grow when/if I start getting tired or my back getting sore.
