Today I'm going to finish building a new side gate between the house and the garage. This past winter the wind got a hold of the gate when it wasn't latched and broke it in half. The area between the two buildings is like a wind tunnel, the prevailing wind thinks this is the passing lane on a highway.

Tonight my wife and I are going to a show, the medium Maureen Hancock will walk among us and bring messages from the 'other side' if they are in her presence. Got these tickets last week because my wifes GM just passed recently. Thought this would help ease her mind.

Been invaded . Thirty to forty quilters I estimate. The cat is hiding, the turtle that was laying her eggs on the lawn headed for the pond, the muskrat is cowering in his house, and the chickens are wondering why the high cackle levels.

Everything is GROWING around here after all the rain we've had. The corn is waist high and a shade of dark green I've never seen before. My grass is still on 2x week schedule. The garden is growing like crazy...and so are the weeds. The guys who have hit the weather just right already have 2 cuttings of hay in....and the 3rd isn't far behind. I thought everything would be way behind this year after the spring that never really happened.

I did something interesting this week-end, that has kept me quite busy both before and after the actual event.

Pics below.. me and my beautiful baby girl in Andover NH at Bluewater Lodge.

Gotta pick the cherry tree tonight. Not the most fun way to spend the evening, but they aren't going to pick themselves. And I likes me some cherry desserts.

At a little over 2000 hours in a work year, that is enough overtime!

Oh Ward. I am sorry. Stay positive, be civil and friendly, like I know you will. It will be okay. And it will be better for everyone if the two of you be good towards each other. Been there. Wasn't married, but been through it with a child. Stay positive. It will all work out in the end.

It is hard. No doubt about it. But you will be okay. We raised our daughter between two houses and we and she turned out great. There will be times you want to say things, many times. But more often than not, it will be better to bite your tongue. Always keep things positive when kids are around or in earshot, no matter who you are talking to. They hear everything. You and they will be just fine, and they need to see that in you and know that. We know of you here, and you are a great person!
