I thought of the winch but the truck hood certainly goes along with my Mason Hillbilly Firewood name.

Missed this yesterday so late to the party...
Just start blasting some of the music from the Rocky film when he was in Russia training, and get that wood. You'd feel great when you're done and be beast mode!

Only would work for a few pulls. After that Brad would start slipping in his own drool. :)
    He’s got locust mania

Don’t feel bad. Shortly after you found your score I thought I saw one while driving. Spent the next two days just driving around with no destination. Looking for locust trees!!! Nutz

I still think of your locust score from last Winter when you had asked me about getting it. I think it was out first correspondence on here. I knew nothing about BL. If you had asked me that now id probably be there in a heartbeat and South Windsor is 45+ minutes form me.
you mean its not normal to do that???

You really need one of these. It will yard or skid when rigged correctly. Seriously, that's really awesome about your business! I'm stoked for ya!

Posted this yesterday - Everyone buys green in spring hoping to have good product for fall/winter. Did you know in order to get the most out of your oaks, hickory, locust, elm and hard maples they should be seasoned for 2-3 years. I mean maximum efficiency, sure your wood will be ok in 6 -8 months but thats the wood that smolders in your stove and creates creosote when you dampen it down. This is the reason I chase down truly dry wood for you to burn, Im talking raging hot open the windows fires. I can provide you with money saving heat with superior firewood. I havnt turned my oil heat on in 10 years. With the price of oil nowadays how can you afford not to get the most out of your wood. Yea, green is $180 to $225 and your saving at that time but in the long run your throwing money away. Its going to be a crazy summer so get in line and invest in a product that is promised to be superior. Thank you, Mason Hillbilly Firewood

That’s awesome your getting the business.
Yesterday when all this started I was thinking rounds. If it’s still in log form that would change things a bit.
A winch would be helpful. The car hood is a good idea. You can build a skid yourself if you want. Should be able to pull up half a truckload at one time. That’s not bad.
