Tons of Construction in my neighborhood. The construction crews throw away all the 14-16” ends of their 2 by 12 boards they frame out the house with. I ask if I can take me and have more than I could ever use. Today I made enough kindling to last half a season for me.
Don't make kindling out of all of them. The full pieces, stacked tight in the stove, will provide a long, even heat! Great score!
They are AT MOST 1” by 2”. Plenty thin enough except for the 2X4s to the left. Those were left large on purpose to go on top of the kindling
Looks like you could heat with framing lumber by itself. It is ashamed to see it go to waste. I used to love raiding construction dumpsters of scrap wood. Maybe Stoveaclaus ' students can split more for you?!
Someone who takes pride in hoarding, splitting, stacking and burning wood. A person that enjoys good old fashioned work and the satisfaction of heating their house with blood sweat and tears while enjoying a beverage or three
A stovesman makes a decision to create a lifestyle of happiness for himself. A stovesman never rests. A stovesman helps others process. A stovesman is not lazy. A stovesman enjoys tools and machines.
...trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
A STOVESMAN will “play dumb” or “impersonate” a worker on a job site to take wood that they know they would be denied if they ask?
Sounds like a shot at me but “he’ll yeah” I’d do that. As a matter of fact you just inspired me to do it now. I’ll let you know how it goes
