Never got below 32ºF last night.
    No sun, no solar gain.
It's a white pine day. I tried some spruce chunks I had in an uncovered stack but it's fairly rain wet. Some I left outside is thawing out in the warm temps and dripping. The two I tried earlier are just smoldering making smoke. I hate that, it looks so amateurish. Plus it set my heating back. Should be almost too warm in here already.

About 26 here this morning. Large White Pine and Spruce splits keeping the inside comfortable.

36 out, too warm in here! It rained over an inch last night and knocked the snow down about half way. Supposed to clear up and get well into the 40’s today. Time to clean the cat again

30* 67* Ash. Looks like mid to upper 30's for the week. Quite warm for this time of the year, but we'll take it!

Temperature has been pretty steady here from 32-35. Not much change expected.

sunny so with solar gain no wood stove today. Maybe later as it is windy so the possibility for cooling off quick exists. WSW winds tend to be warmer wind here though.
Looks like a white pine burning week ahead, some red maple mid-week maybe:

35 outside, 74 upstairs above the stove room. I am sitting here looking at FHC and watching ghost flames from a load of 5 year old cherry.

Mix of Ash, Maple, and Honey Locust in this morning.

Loaded mostly Honey Locust last night before going to bed. Even with the primary closed all the way, the stove gets HOT with that in there. Wife loves it toasty in the house... Nice 4" bed of coals still left in there this morning after 9 hours on that load of HL. After 2 years drying under cover and the last 15 days in the basement at 85-100F with draft through it, that stuff is still heavy and almost bursts into flame when placed in on a bed of coals. I don't have a MM, but I know it's very dry. I may get a meter just to see where the wood is drying to, but I'm totally satisfied that it's ready for chucking into the stove.

Dreary overcast day here but the temps are mild once again. Stayed in the 20's all day. Only thing is, just enough new snow to have to shovel or it'll build up on the walk/driveway. About 1 1/2 more today so far. Yesterday, easily 2". Sat, probably around 3".
