I replaced the tips on two of my Log Rite 36" hookaroons with the new style. Took one of the old tips and made a 6' hookaroon for pulling rounds/splits out of the back of the truck. Could also be a big city "walking stick". 0126201709.jpg 0126201710.jpg

I got a Fiskars Pickaroon for Christmas. I'm slowly figuring out how to best use it for me. Seems like it can be a useful tool.

I made a homemade tip out of threaded rod (heat treated) and a shovel handle and it worked well for unloading the truck. This being heavier should snag rounds better.

The old tips were many years old and didn't "grab" like they did when new even though sharpened with a die grinder.

I got replacements from LogRite. $12.50.
