Glad I'm not the only one making dry runs on the taxes! The last three years I've had decent bumps in pay, so I keep worrying I'm going to break into a different tax bracket and get bit in the azz.

The HR lady at my new company thought I was kidding when I told her I claim 14 on my W4. And I STILL pay way too much! I'm afraid to bump it and end up paying more. Getting a lump shortly after Christmas helps anyway.

Nice grass trails throughout all 81 acres. A few more small areas finished off. Then sell the big equipment and have a “smallish” tractor for maintenance. Im almost there now. Probably another year, year and a half of part time work.

Our own little piece of heaven right here.:)

Everyone in the house is in their bedroom and the grand kids are gone for weekend so I’m sitting in a quiet living room enjoying the silence and flipping through the burpee seed catalog that came this week. Last spring was chaos and we never got a garden in so I’m looking forward to it this year.
Got hungry looking at the veggies in the catalog so I went to my den fridge and whipped up a big Bloody Mary with pickles black olives pepproncini cocktail onions and celery.
Prolly be napping in an hour !!!!

OMG - I claim zero and still have to worry. And no, I'm not in 6 figure territory - just have absolutely no deductions besides the standard.

The standard is pretty stout these days. I have the two kids, so they are at least good for a deduction!

Spent a couple hours at the cottage opening everything once again. Man, the heart attack snow sure resists the snow blower moving it around.

Gonna have a burger cookout there tomorrow. Stop by if you're in the area. If you're from out of the area, there will be a test before you're admitted.

You will have to pronounce these words correctly.

    Pasty.

    Sauna.

My wife just called me a dork. I am a dork. Our daughter sent us her latest pic of our grandson. I asked my wife to dig out a pic of our daughter when she was 6 months old. So I held grandson pic and daughter pic next to each other and sent it up to our daughter. I am a dork and a darn proud one!

(proud and beaming dorky grandpa signing off)

I will have to find out what brand it was. Looked like a large cargo van.

You have to prepare them correctly. You have to de-skin them. That's the slimy part;)

    Like one of these? MY19-PM-Hero-1-Mobile.jpg.image.1000.jpg

Yes, these vans are fwd, and I don't think they even are available in AWD/ 4wd.

The Ford Transits are rwd, but you now can get AWD on them. The transit connects, ( the smaller ones) are fwd.

Sprinter vans are rwd, and now fwd apparently too.

Yeah, it is - which helps. But they also lowered the amount they take out as taxes, so it is close to a wash.

I was going by experience, and the last time I got a "pay raise" (ie, worked a second job 2016-2018), was before that happened. I had to take extra out of my primary job (besides claiming 0 for both) in order not to owe. I was literally making $5 an hour out of a $10/hr job counting up the actual taxes taken out and the extra (hey, it got me thru a lean time without adding any debt, so it worked). At that I think I got like $50 back, so I wasn't over-paying.

Years ago I worked enough overtime to bump me and my ex up and we ended up owing enough to invoke the penalty.
