Holy kindling

    I’ve found kindling just takes up room in the stove better reserved for splits LOL
    Coupla fatwood sticks and it’s off.
    On that note tho I mistakenly bought some Duraflame Stix a couple weeks ago. Uh uh never again. Stinky, sticky nasty things that burn like dog doo.

    How often do you burn dog doo ?
    Worthwhile BTU ?
    How long to dry ?
    Do you test moisture content by weight or meter ?

    If it’s too moist I just roll sawdust into it for awhile. I’ve tried speedy dry but that ruins the fragrance.

    Put the dog doo by the stove to dry it out. Just don't put it too close...

    That said, I like to use a little kindling if I'm starting from a cold stove, of one that has been few leftover coals.
