GF screaming in the bedroom COME QUICK!!!!! no idea what I'm running into
It was sticking it's head out from the closet door and scrammed back into the corner behind some shoe boxes.

Rat snake - very common around here.
It was rather docile and really just wanted to get away, I set him off in the edge of the woods

If I knew I'd probably have the hole plugged:D

Either the door was open and he wandered in or more likely got into the attic - I've watched them crawl straight up a piece of painted T1-11
On occasion you here a "thump" in the joist spaces.... they're attracted to the smell of rodents and will scale houses get in through a vent and eventually wander out.

It's the second one I've found inside the house - first live one, the last one I found mummified in the penetration around the vent stack - his tail stuck in a mouse trap.
That was after the summer when I was re-siding the house and the eve spaces were open for a couple days while I was resheathing the exterior.

Snakes are devilish little creatures even though they serve a purpose.

I just hate seeing that. Think I would need a shower if I were to be the one who discovered the snake in my home. :emb:
