One of these days, the sun will shine, the temp will soar, and with any luck I'll see the goats of random island again :)

I have one of those $200 pieces of paper. It is worthless. Just like the Packers efforts in this first half.

Due to my Fathers insistence, I had the game on in the background. First game on my TV in a number of years. Packers started coming back, but was not to be.
Sounds like the Superbowl will be a great game.
In case you wonder who I have to root for, Dad took me to my first Niner's game in '74 at Candlestick.

Hi H, thanks for asking. He's good, lost some weight (he can take his walks all year round there), keeping busy with new interests. He's glad to be back in Cali.

Yeah, it didn't work out. But they did a lot better than most teams did this year, when the ones that were expected to win it all.

Hopefully this ends the "Packers get all the refs calls" garbage.

It's all good though, as I said before. First year coach, 13-3, NFC North champs, swept all 6 division games, got a first week bye in the playoffs, and beat the Seahawks in the divisional game. Really great for a rebuilding year.

It wasn't that bad this time. The calls though.... Oh boy. On defense and by the refs.

Give Aaron some more weapons and they'll be even better.

Chvymn99 , we're rooting for the Chiefs of course here. My wife's grew up a raiders fan, being from the Bay area, and I've never liked the niners and their fake fans.

Basically the team once in a while puts shares up for sale. $200 or so. It's a cool piece of paper though. That piece of paper does get you invited to meetings. Which is pretty cool.

Fake fans? Though I don't give a rat's azz about pro-sports and haven't for a long time, I've never rooted against the Niner's until Kaepernick started his B.S.
The Niner's sucked until Montana came along, yet I would root for them. I still have that pennant from '74 from my first game.
Chris Dalman (C) was fun to pick on when he was a freshman, until he got huge. His older brother (Jon) and I were bud's, always mountain biking and shooting after he got out of the Army. Jeff Garcia (QB) and my sister went to school together at Gavilan, they used to hang out 'cause he worked his way into their crowd. (he was cool I'm told, never met him- younger dude, I didn't give a crap), my Sis liked him well enough. There's a few more. One guy I didn't like, don't recall his name, was special teams and a 3rd string LB. My buddy Juan and he would fight every dam time they were in the same vicinity. Juan usually won, only lost once when the other guy cracked a flower pot over his head. I wasn't there for that one, heard about it second hand ( I was on a fire line that summer).

Don't blanket all of us with the "fake fans" signature. Yes, lots of "fair weather supporters" and they all suck, but some of us have been there through thick and thin.
Same goes for Raiders fans, don't get me going on that.... whut- Oakland, L.A., uhm.. Vegas??

edit- Not sure why that "fake fan" moniker still gets me going, but it does. I've been on board since '74, hasn't changed except for the recent SJW B.S.

If they could have played as well in the first half as they did in the second, they would likely be playing in Miami. They might want to work on that run defense too. I was dumbfounded when they mentioned that Garroppolo hadn't thrown a pass in an hour and a half.

Morning all. Warm, wet and windy here today. Back to work today - no snow days and I hope I am over whatever hit me Friday. Watched a lot of curling and football and got some knitting done yesterday.

Our snow days seem pretty insignificant compared to St. John's, Newfoundland but traveling was pretty treacherous for our area.

Today is looking like snow relocation at the cottage day. I hope the plows have the snowbanks pushed back along the highway.
