    Yeah, it's wet heavy snow. So drifting shouldn't be an issue. I'll get out to snowblow shortly.

    We got wet snow all last night that turned to rain this morning. I am lucky enough to spend the day in bed with my illness. Mom's community has power off and the ferries aren't running today. We are fortunate that she has an awesome neighbour who takes care of her when we can't get over there. A really ugly stormy day.

    For sure! I just had a long look at it, and decided that now that my back is feeling better, I'd rather keep it that way.

    I also just found the last pocket of white birch in my shed! Every time I've thought that was it, I find more. No more hiding spots now.

    Just heard on the scanner we had a fatal snow mobile accident an hour ago not too far from here. 36 yo male left the trail and struck a tree.

    We have quite a few of those each Winter. Today’s sleds are so powerful, add alcohol and it gets deadly.

    For the first time this winter I shoved around some snow this morning. 7" of heavy wet stuff...followed by some rain, but thankfully not a lot of rain. It is 37 outdoors so maybe more snow will melt off before the cold hits. At least the driveway is clean.

    Snow started about two hours ago. It’s been light so far, but they say 3-5”. They expect it to turn to rain overnight, but the low is going to be 27°. You know what that means. I hate freezing rain and ice.
