Good Morning! Still snowing a bit here. Coffee, then fishing, then maybe a nap.

What kind of coffee do you all drink most days? We typically have the Kirkland 3lb cans for $9.99 from Costco at the house.

At the cabin we bring up Starbucks, Caribou or something along those lines for the french press, or if in a hurry we go with Folgers instant up there.

    Its all good!

Are you getting ready to stick large pieces of metal thru giant fish?

I am going to the darkhouse to spear this morning. I am looking for one or two good eating size fish (26-30"), maybe a bigger one for the canner. What constitutes a giant fish is kind of a relative thing. My biggest pike by spear is 22lbs, which is on the wall. I have since passed on several fish in that size range. A giant fish to me would have to be in the 25lb, mid-40 inch range. And even then I don't think I would spear it. :salute:

Edit: I was going to mention one of the lakes I was spearing on last weekend also has muskies, and I had a giant (well over 45") in hole checking the decoy out. They are really cool to see in a spear hole. They typically hang around, but never all out attack a decoy like a pike will.

Hopefully you get to pull some nice bluegills out of the hole too.

At work, I drink McCafe or Folgers 1850. At home, it's 8 o'clock hazelnut or McCabe K-cups or Blue Mountain brewed.

I am going to my home lake this morning to check on my permanent house. While typically good for bluegill, it has been slow for them so far this winter. The lake I got the mess of bluegills a few weeks ago is about 5 miles north of our home and I was in a portable house that morning.

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a SUPER SATURDAY. Working the night shift...going to cut up a pine tree for a friend so she can put it on her burn pile, then just check around the house. Nap time won't be long after. Rain is moving in later today, cool temps tonight.

Those salvage stores across from Iggy's look cool, but I've never gone in. I get the country baguettes at Iggy's to make salad croutons, besides being delicious, they don't get soggy in a salad.
I really miss Lexington Gardens,, the nursery that went out of business.

    Good morning, everyone.

Another cold morning here, but minimal wind.

I'll be helping a friend who had a large ash blow over. Should be fun.

Snow expected by sundown. Nothing major. 2-4in.
