A8084192-1B91-450F-814F-D2691F85F541.jpeg Thought you all might get a kick out of this. I work out almost every night and early every morning in my home gym. My home gym is a separate building on my property. It gets COLD in there. I go in and light the Lopi about 30 minutes before my workout. When I go in to work out, it’s nice and warm. I crank up the tunes and get after it!

What is that one machine looking thing do ? It's next to that other thing just into the pic.....kinda has a curved and then straight thingie with some black and metal colored stuff on it?

What an investment! Like Buffalo Plaid said, that's one of the largest walk in closets I've seen in quite some time!

I can see why you don't have the opportunities to hoard and scrounge as much as you'd like!

    Nice setup!!!

After 5 continuous years of multiple days per week at the gym starting at 5:30-6:00am, I have also decided to create a home gym. I'm just about finished. So far I really like the convenience of not having to drive there on snowy or icy days, or miss/skip training due to holidays, the flexibility of being able to work out whenever I want, the ability to not have to wait for a certain item I want to use, and chalk is always allowed, lol. Everything with the exception of two barbells (safety squat bar, and a swiss bar) was purchased on CL. I probably have about a grand invested. The woodstove is approximately 20 feet away.

My wife and I both do a little bit of amateur bodybuilding. But we’re mostly just into fitness. While cutting and splitting wood is a great workout, we get a lot of snow. Sometimes it’s just not possible to be out in the elements. Especially early in the morning, or at night after our munchkin goes to bed.

Awesome gym room and I note how clean your floor is even with a stove.

Is the flooring horse stall mats? That's what I used in my gym. The only downside is they do give off a slight odor.

The mats are one inch thick “gym flooring” mats. They weigh 100 pounds a piece. I’ve heard the horse stall mats work great though. I saw your other reply. Good for you! I also got tired of the gym rat race. There is only one tiny gym in the town I live in. It is always packed. I got sick of waiting on everyone else too. I also got most of my dumbbells on CL super cheap. I also got my water rower brand new on CL.

Cash, I say stay with what you are doing. It is great that both you and your wife can do this together which has to make it much more enjoyable. Some may scoff, but I say do what you really want to do so long as you are trying to please yourself and not others. That is where many go wrong.
