The new house came with built-in shleving in the master bath, but with no shelves (save for the non-movable one in the middle. So I ended up cutting some wood over the weekend.
They don't sell those towels any more. Beard cream is in thr vanity drawer. Most of my stuff is in the drawer and one a shelf in the smaller built in (only a foot wide).
The baseboards are the least of my worries. I just textured the ceiling in the kitchen, living room, dining, abd hallway and have them 2/3 painted. Won't get a chance to finish that until Saturday. I've got a some drywall to fix in the hall, a couple wires to remove/reroute in the kitchen, and a little bit of wallpaper to finish removing before I can finish plasteting and painting in there. Then I got a garage access door from the dining room to replace with a larger door and a former exterior door to lower in the living room before I can finish the drywall and paint that area. Then I can install the dropin flooring in the kitxhen, dining and hall-- but I will have to work on the subfloor in the hall first. After that I can get the new base cabinets and countertop in (where I took the window out) so we can finally have a prep area and enough storage. Then I can look at trim.
There is a Murphy’s rule on this; items will always fill the available space; or something along those lines.
Problem was our bathroom stuff from the previous house exceeded what we had available. Now that problem is solved.
Ha! I glanced over this very quick and read "bread cream" WTH is bread cream? I keep mine in the butter dish in the kitchen. What would Adam be doing with butter in the bathroom?? I don't want to know!
Hope you try not to have several rehab projects going on at the same time. Can be very discouraging. Hope you are getting along OK.
We are compartmentalizing with all the proejcts. I usually pick two small jobs and one large job abd tey to finish it over the week so everything can return to normal before I start the next round.
Impressive griz. Always takes twice as long when you’re living in it. My wife loves HGTV and she keep saying oh we should do this we should do that. I said honey you always seem to forget the first step in all of these projects is move THE people and their crap out of the house!!
