It's about time I picked up something more than just calories while I'm there, no?

 

This mornings drive was cautious as once again I beat the snowplows out. Had some freezing drizzle for the first 45 miles (or so). After that, it was just slippery and snowy.

Temps were in mid 20's.

Looks like the incoming storm is going to cancel the plans for Saturday. My dad is flying into RI tomorrow and is going to bring my.mother down to FL for 6 weeks while she rehabs her new knee. Shes been kinda stuck inside not wanting to risk injury.

We were going to have our late Christmas get together, but instead they are going to hit the road on Friday to beat the storm. I guess we'll have Christmas in late Feb early March.

Mornin all... ... 6" of white tomorrow, sub zero temps Fri-Sat, 6 plus more white Sat Sun... ooooooooooh... almost starting to feel like winter...

 

22 here this a.m.. Last night the weather guessers were saying 4-6" of snow coming here tonight. Now their crystal ball is saying 1-2". My guess is that it will miss us completely.

 

Well below freezing and no snow yet. Lower part of Vancouver Island is getting hit with "lake effect snow" They are getting wind as well. Nice to live in Paradise here. Would be nice to get an 1" of snow though. It can look so pretty.

 

Thinking of selling that tractor snow blower set up are ya? I've got just the place for it!

No bakery for quite some time now. I may stop in and grab a bag before heading out to the cottage, but that's about it.

My 78 year old former work and coffee partner has taken yet another job.

Trying to move some dirt today. Ground is still too soft. I wore a hydraulic line out on the backhoe. Started spitting like crazy. Drove over and had a new one made up. And picked up a new plug for the heater on the machine. Last on broke off. Always something. But, at least I’m on a day off from the enjoyment center.

 

Ugg, 11 yr old GE fridge not cooling properly. It's cooling, just not enough. I vacuumed as much as I could from the intake and the coils. No dice. Local repair guy is stopping out tomorrow. Hopefully this is an inexpensive fix.

 

We have turned into a disposable society. Probably better off getting a new one.

 

Let me clarify that...…"to grab a bag of bakery" ………
