Today will hopefully continue with no freezing rain. We received about 1/10, or less, of what they thought we were going to get! :dancer:Last night I was driving by a local sub place and their parking lot and the bank next door was full of utility trucks. They had them staged in several places for the storm. I was glad to see that. So happy they so far haven’t been needed here.

I did stock up on gas and food items, but now we have it for the next storm. Oh wait. The kids will eat all the food in a week! Well, at least we will have the gas for the generator ready for next time.

Hopefully today will consist of relaxing, watching football, and a short workout with my son at the Gym.

I hope all firewood hoarders have a great Sunday!

Granddaughter passed the flu on to her brothers. They all had flu shots and I guess the pharmaceutical companies missed getting the influenza “A” match just right. Same as last year. Only our son and daughter-in-law haven’t gotten it yet. Told them to keep the little Petri dishes home for a while before coming to visit.

It rained pretty hard overnight and it's a sunny 64° and windy right now. Might be a good time to bring some more wood up to the house. We all know this weather isn’t going to last.

Well, that wasn't a lot of snow. All that rain on Friday night that was supposed to be snow, well, was rain. IDK, maybe got 3" of wet heavy snow.

I used the ariens blower and it's all done. Ready to watch some football today.

Bronco is fixt for now. Relaxed for a few enjoying the typical mid January 68 degree weather after that. The wind is blowing now, and the temps are falling.

Mud season is upon us again.

Just got in off the local lake. Took one 27" pike via the spear. Saw one other smaller one and a bowfin. We are making poor man's lobster by boiling the pike in 7up, water and little salt. This is allowed to cool a bit, then dipped in melted, lightly salted butter. Got a little wild rice and some of our canned green beans on the boil as well.

I ended up taking a nice cotton tail out of the garden this morning before church. I decided to save that for canning, along with a few others I got earlier, when I do my winter pike at the end of the spearing season.

We mixed up some of our canned pike from last winter with Helmans, mustard, our pickles, and fresh ground black pepper for sandwiches for our lunch.

Wow Rotti. We received the same, but in the form of an inch of rain water. Temperatures here made us fortunate. How’s the Kubota treating you?

Glad for you that you didn’t get more CBVT!
