I think the Baltimore QB Jackson has been reading to many stories about how good he is.
That Tennessee coach is a keeper. I remember him as a player - he was tough as nails.

Bummer, there is a law suit here over the water in the lake our neighborhood is on. Judge a few hundred miles north ordered to reduce it to a puddle instead of a lake to preserve a few houses. There have been houses built in the last 65 years during long droughts that were not above the water line that were flooded after the droughts ended. Then add a couple homes that were built in the last 40 years that ARE above the water line but the banks are eroding. Idk. Seems the City and County are going to protest too, this lake is good revenue for both. Heck, the boat dock would be 75' short of the water and even if someone was tenacious enough to back a boat down there the outboard motor propellers would drag on the ground anyway if they drained it that low. We shall see what happens, so much at stake for a few houses. Darned irrigation company should settle with the few homeowners and be done. Idk. It better not hurt our chances with the rural grant to get city water!!!!

Edit, 8 houses in the filing. 8. Most of them were for a better term abandoned (yes, some relative somewhere owns them, but they have not been kept up and were dilapidated decades ago). No doubt those are the ones hosting the termite nests that have invaded out here though termites are UHEARD of. Lets not forget the wildfire water bombers using the lake the other summer (granted I complained about the newspaper guy speeding to get a picture of the last dip the bomber made), hopefully the Forest Service will fight it too (likely they will).

wildwest you've got quite a can of worms opened up there for sure.

Knowing that pretty much anywhere out west is arid and water resources are something to cherish, it would be easy to assume that no one would want to get rid of any water that they have gained.

Lake Superior is also high now-a-days. I think it was just over 10 years ago the "experts" were so concerned about the low levels of the lake....36" below normal; and saying just how many decades it would take to recover that amount of water.

I am serving on the safety team at church this morning. Afterwards, I may take the quad out to my ice shanty this afternoon for some spearing and angling. My buddy was out on our local lake yesterday and said that there is a pressure ridge at the landing which is filling with water on the lake side of it. So despite over a foot of ice now, no trucks driving out. from there.

At least you have ice to stand on. We had an ok start but two days of 60 degrees and rain put any hopes to an end. Headed 200 miles north to Maine to fish next weekend.

No fire here since yesterday morning, and that was just to make our cat happy. So glad to see the end of that ice... It will be a good week for outside work until the next snow.

We have a team that undergoes regular training in dealing with potential issues impacting safety of our congregants and staff. We started this several years ago.

I'm dumbfounded how bad my hands hurt this morning after making a few bends in a 5/16 transmission line last night.
