I think someone already pointed this out, but won't every evening at 8:20 and 20 seconds this year (2020) qualify for that "once in a lifetime" event of 20:20:20 2020?

55° here this am......gonna clean the chimney today.

 

Horkn we have ice. Just heard the plow trucks are out but 1 has already slid of the road into the ditch. Mix of freezing rain,sleet and snow. No real accumulation yet.

 

No snow here in Rock County yet. But we have ice. The whole entity of Evansville Water and Light is without power. I just heard from a former co worker a tree came down on the ATC line that feeds our two sub stations. I still have power out here in the sticks. I am about ready to jump on the ATV to check out my woods I heard a tree crash down in there an hour ago.

 

It is supposed to get into the upper 60's here today...around a year ago we were at zero.
At this rate we will be mowing in a few weeks...the grass is still kinda green.
The winter that never was...of course we will probably still pay for this warm weather though...

 

Pounded rain here all night now mixing with wet snow and supposedly we are supposed to end up with 10-15" of snow before it ends sometime tomorrow. Been 35 degrees here since yesterday. Supposed to be down close to zero by tomorrow as well.

 

Grandmother turns 75 today

 

75 what ????....................laps, somersaults, jumping jacks !!!!!!!! Seriously, good for her. hope she has many more healthy years to come.

 

Thanks guys. Me and dad were gonna take her out for supper, now apparently dad's girlfriend and her son are coming too

 

Just started the first winter's batch of pickled pike this morning. Wife and I got coffee and headed over to Wirth Park here to watch a high school cross country ski relay/meet. Our son is a coach for the team and was doing the waxing in a hot tent when we got there. We are settling in for our nap, then planning a party with our family for the Vikings San Francisco game later on. It is 4f, windy and sunny here today. The big storm is east of us. We are in the cold section that is feeding it.

Darn it, I went on the hunt to find the tree I heard crashing in my woods. Negative. It must have been in the neighbor’s woods. All I found was ice and some small stuff leaning.

 

After 12 hours of pounding rain it turned to snow about a hour ago. The birds have been pounding the feeders since daylight. Then, we had one of those MILITARY GRADE tough Ford F-150's decide the road wasn't tough enough, so they tried 4 wheelin' in the ditch across the road. "and another one bites the dust............er, I mean snow.

 

Same here. Rain and ice. It started to snow this morning about 11 am. It's very windy now.
