Supposed to be in the 60s today, I've seen as high as 66 on one forecast. Have the windows open a crack just for some fresh air. Day before yesterday we had our first good freeze. It was nice cutting a little wood on hard frozen ground. Now, it's back to slop.

    No likey tornadoes...

I'm thinking once more forecasters made mountain out of mole hill. So far we've had some rain. Temperature is down 33 right now and the rain is almost done. Maybe some more will crop up but it looks like the big storm is almost past us now; at least I'm hoping. But if another storm doesn't crop up, we are in good shape.

Had a tornado in Missouri late evening/early night. Looks like it will be tonight before the rain gets here.

Beautiful morning here. Rain just now moving in. Working on a rental house today, hopefully nearing the finish with paint and a few lights.

It seems like bad weather in one form of the other all over. My worry is thunderstorms that may spawn tornadoes although I think the chances here are fairly low on the tornadoes.

59 outside. No fire. 72 inside. Windows getting closed.

Fire built. Just needs a match. Maybe, in the morning.

We had 12 hours of pounding rain and 35 degrees all night. Turned to wet snow about noon. Current temp is 29 dropping to 14 tonight with about a foot of snow predicted by tomorrow morning. Then it turns to real winter the rest of the week and below zero mid week. It is now officially winter here.

Never had tornadoes here when I was a kid, but now they come in more and more. So destructive. I have seen a swath of woods all cut off at the same height. Anything below that level not touched. I saw a greenhouse survive not 2oo ft from one of those cutting swaths.

Hit 70 today. If it were 30 above average in July it would be 117 here in Jersey
