Everyplace seemed to be open and pretty full. We hit our few regular bars after dinner. It was a pretty tame night thankfully.

It is absolutely pouring outside and windy. It is just above freezing so a little farther down the road inland on the island it must be snowing. I am so glad I work inside.

Yup. Sort of like telling folks to not drive that truck through this wheat stubble field...

Geeze Marvin I hope you get over this quickly. Well, the whole family.

I've been wondering here although neither of us feel sick but I'm having a problem keeping warm. Folks know we usually keep the inside temperature around 80. I just looked when I got up to put on a heavy shirt and it is 82, but I feel chilly. Not good.

    There once was a crow, his friends called him Joe and black were his back and his wings;
And all the other crows laughed at him so, but Joe really wanted to sing.
A simple “caw, caw,” wasn’t music enough of feelings Joe felt deep inside,
So in spite of the laughter he heard every day, Joe flapped his wings and he tried.
He went “caw, caw, caw, caw.” Joe gave it the best that he had.
But “caw, caw, caw, caw,” I’m sorry to say it was bad.

The other crows cawed, they laughed in the fog, to hear poor Joe trying his best.
And all through the jeers, nearly brought in the tears, he bravely went on with his quest.
For Joe was a dreamer and he dared to dream, that one day he’d stand in the ring,
And hear a vast hush as the world fell silent, for the crow that wanted to sing.
He went, “caw, caw, caw, caw,” though he gave it the best that he had,
“Caw, caw, caw, caw,” I’m sorry to say it was bad.

One day in his tree in his worst misery, Joe wondered just why he’d been born,
His nest was a sight, his feathers a fright, his good heart felt tattered and torn.
Then his wife and his children all gathered around, as evening stars twinkled above,
They nestled themselves warmly under his wings, and they said, “Daddy, tell us of love.”
And as Joe thought of how he felt full of love now, and all of the joy love could bring.
A miracle happened in that willow tree, a crow really started to sing.

He sang, “Love, love, love is the answer,” he sang in a voice so clear.
“Love, love, love is the answer, and love is the reason we’re here.”
There once was a crow, his friends called him Joe, and black were his back and his wings,
His message to you is that dreams can come true; Joe finally learned how to sing.

Thanks Backwoods Savage! The good news is I feel better today. Still not 100% but better. Sounds like my daughter caught it too. She is home from school today.

My wife said she feels much much better today. Apparently it is a short lived bug but a nasty one nonetheless. I hope you stay healthy!

Geez, I forgot to post when you asked about this cord initially...yes, since it says outdoor rated and OSHA approved, it will be a 3 wire (grounding) cord...as we can all see now...;)

Granddaughter caught the flu. Got a call from our daughter-in-law at 5:30 this morning asking my wife to watch her brothers while she took her to the hospital. She caught the flu even though she had the shot. Same thing happened to me and my wife last year. Not wanting that to happen again.

Crows feeding on a carrion in a road are sometimes hit and killed by passing trucks, but they are almost never hit by cars. The reason: crows feeding in a road have a lookout and when a car approaches the lookout calls ‘cah cah cah.’ Crows, however haven’t learned to say ‘truck’
