Good morning all! Gotta work around the plant again today so no shifting gears again today. We got an inch or two of wet heavy snow yesterday afternoon/evening. One thing that's cool about snows like that is how peaceful it seems soon after it is done. Everything just seems quiet and calm when its covered in snow.

Good morning everyone! Today will be decent weather until the wind picks up, so I'll do stuff outside for awhile. Any ice or snow from this weekend storm stays way up North.
The wedges I got yesterday are all pretty sharp, so today I think I'll take my old wedges in to be sharpened. Also pick up some Fiber Fix tape for my sledge handles, a tip from A Visitor. I'd like to dedicate a shelf in the garage to my wedge collection, I must have about 15 by now. This hoarding behavior runs deep. Good thing I can hoard some wood on Friday.
    Have a great day all!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. Working another daylight shift, so the woodyard is safe...beautiful blue sky, a little breezy and cool, was 27° about 6:00 this morning. Sunrise on the steam clouds was pretty today. 0108200737_HDR.jpg Hope y'all stay warm and safe in the ice and snow.
    Remember the GOLDEN RULE...

It is a kaolin clay processing plant next to where I work. That is the stacks from the spray drivers. Clay slurry is sprayed in the top into hi temp air, dries by the time it gets to the bottom. Some is shipped bro paper mills to coat paper, some is shipped over to us, we blend and further process it. Our products are used in multiple things, from paint, rubber, vinyl products, laminate counter tops to enhancing concrete products. The raw clay is mined in our area of GA.

Good morning everyone! It could be that I just feed the stove today, but if the sun warms things up, I'll split a little. I need to do something every day to keep my muscles from turning to flab.
This weekend will feel like a mini-vacation, with the warm temps. Not too much rain until Saturday night into Sunday.
What I really need to do is tackle the basement. There is stuff down there which can be donated, that's easy. Then the next tier up in quality could go on Craigslist. The best stuff is the hardest, probably should be consigned or go on eBay. I really hate selling on eBay, so many buyers are jerks. Maybe I'll try Etsy instead. Ugh. But sooo much goodwill to be earned with my husband if I tackle this.
We need a good blizzard to get me started on that project.
Anyway, have a good day all!

    Good morning, everyone.

Today, Christmas gets put back in the basement. Most everything is in a storage bin. Time to go up and down some stairs.

On one of my return trips, I'll bring up the room humidifier. It'll put about 3gal/day into the air. Always helps with the dry air.
