    Went to bed sick last night. First chill, then fever and pains all over. Esp. in any joint. Got up at 1 Am. By 3Am I was on my way to the VA Emergency Room. Well, they poked several times. Took lots of blood samples, and urine sample. Chest x ray, then a CT Scan. iv started. Said my heart is enlarged and an AV block. Swab for Flu negative,
    Electrolytes normal, no pneumonia. They think it is viril and I need to nurse myself along until I feel better. Come back if no progress. That took 7hrs. I got right in, the er when I arrived. I was treated very well. My wife, Cindy, sat with me. Still feel like a bag of crap this evening. At least some of the pain has let up. Will be better once that moves on. Tried some oatmeal this PM. No desire for anything. Never know what you will wake up tomorrow.

    Thoughts and prayers to you savemoney ! Go easy, sleep, plenty of liquids and lots of Vitamin C. Whatever your body doesn’t use you will expel. The C helps you get through it. I took 2000mg a day while sick along with DayQuil during the day and NyQuil at night and it really helped.

    Wow, thank you all for the well wishes. I'm up, dressed, and had my coffee. My pain has greatly let up enough to be an annoyance and not disabling. Still feel like a bag of crap. Ate some oatmeal and a banana. Now just take it slow for the next few days. Earlier in my life, I would have not gone to the ER, but today, with so many comorbidities, It isn't worth the risk. This time they wanted to get a lot of excess fluids out me. I had gained 9 lbs in two weeks. With an enlarged heart and an AV block, the infection I have is too stressful.
