Good morning everyone! I had a good time outside yesterday, brought lots of maple in, and split some black birch. The Yaktrax worked great!
Today I'll be driving around a lot. First thing I have to drive west to the shop where my husband's car is, so he can pick it up. Then I have to drive east to pick up some nice old wedges I found on eBay. s-l1600.jpg The woman who listed them is selling a basement full of tools, might be something else good too!
On the way back, I'll swing by the house where Mwalsh9152 and I got the ash, and see how the ice coverage looks. I'll bring my saw and hand truck, in case anything is gettable. Otherwise I'll have to wait for 60° on Saturday!
    Have a great day everyone!

I'd guess that the yard is completely covered in a crust of frozen snow, along with the wood. It's a mess outside here.

Keep an eye out for a peavey or a cant hook. I'm sure you'd use it.

I went by there, on my way to Methuen. Kim, the wife, was home, and we agreed to my coming on Friday. There wasn't much ice on the wood, but the lawn was still covered. IMG_20200107_9164.jpg

    NICE!!

I have one that looks fairly old, but the wooden handle is still pretty solid and can take a good heavy yank.

When you have a log to roll, give it a shot. Unless it's more of a wall hanger. Get some boiled linseed oil on it. I use an old t-shirt to apply. I hang it up to dry, instead of balled up.

I've been wearing the Yaktrax on my boots, they've been keeping me upright.
Methuen was fun. There's a whole barn they haven't opened up yet, where the old man spent most of his time.

Yaktrax works as advertised. Good product to have on hand.....or, underfoot.
