Which model JD do you have it mated to? I have a '96 870 that wishes it looked like yours.

    It's a 2008 3005.... a 870 is a solid tractor.

Your gonna be surprised how much you use the grapple . It works great obviously for carrying logs but also trail / cleanup in the woods . Easily rips out those nasty vines ! I also used mine for prep work removing sod to build the new pole barn . It would kinda roll the sod up with a clean cut as I went forward . Worked great . Congratulations

I've got the loader mounted plow from CTA, was just looking at their grapples, the plow seems very stout.

Does anyone just mount 1 or 2 hyd fingers on top of a bucket? After swaping back n forth between my claw and bucket, I've often thought a single center arm finger would do everything I needed, and more, than just the claw by itself... and save not having to do the swap, along with $$... my 2 cents...

I actually had an opportunity to use a setup like that. A couple things I like about the claw over the bucket are the lack of bucket sides to get in the way of longer logs, the ability to basically be able to see through it and let trash/dirt fall through. Seriously thinking about something like that on my pallet fork attachment though.
