Got the King fired up this morning, coffee is almost ready. Kettle is singing too. Sometimes I'm glad she doesn't remember to shut the windows before bed.
It's not even 70° here and it's so humid it's hot. Just finished stacking some wood from limbs we cut. Can't wait for the temps to dip.
Yep, real tropical. We had winter right up until June this year. I think there may be something wrong with the earth's orbit.
It works great on this one. The Lopi was too we'll insulated on top for it to work well, one of the reasons we upgraded-- I plan on heating at least part of my bath water this year.
That's what I'm afraid of on the PH. The top burner does not get that hot unless you have a screamer going, not sure it will be hot enough to perc a coffee fast enough.....
We didn't need a screamer, but if bring it up from cold to Perc we needed about 45 minutes of 400 degrees according to the chimney thermostat.
Jack, do you use the kettle as a humidity booster to overcome the dry air from the stove? BTW I'm always glad when my honey forgets to shut the windows!
Couldn't take it anymore and fired up a small fire this morning. 43* outside and 64* inside is enough. I actually even got it right and it is a nice comfy 70* with the stove coasting down at 250*.
I have one of those water trinket humidifier thingys for the top of the stove, doesn't really do much.
