New Years, St Patrick's, 4th of July, Superbowl (we get a lot of those around here) etc. All days where the amateurs go out and drink. Cops are on high alert, and the morons are driving. I'll gladly stay at home and not risk getting popped after 3 drinks and having a hassle to deal with, or getting hit by someone. You will never see me out on those nights.

You guys have me craving Chinese food now. Maybe this week....

Tonight it's carnitas. We use a Rick Bayless recipe that's super easy. I made a batch of my pickled red onions yesterday, and we have guacamole too. Typically we make our own guacamole, but every avocado at the store was hard as rocks. So we'll use the premade stuff, it's pretty good, not as good as ours, but it doesn't go bad for a long time.

Multiple neighbors posted coycoy sightings in the neighborhood, as close as across the street within the past half hour.....yet I'm getting an argument about being armed for our walk in the woods with the dog? Fine, let them eat him, I cant stand him anyway.

Carry anyways. You won't need to ask for forgiveness if you need to use it.

Amazingly my wife is used to me carrying when we go to Milwaukee, and whenever I feel it is necessary. I need a smaller carry gun though, the s&w sv9e is a bit big for concealing under thinner coats. My big snowmobile jacket is no issue though...

Springfield XDS in 9mm. I have had zero issues with concealment.

What kind of holster do you use?

I did, Charlotte joining us sealed the decision. I seldom carry, so it makes my wife nervous. I have a subcompact S&W 1911. IWB it conceals well. I went OWB this time, the bottom 1-2" sticks out the bottom of my sweatshirt, but covered by my jacket with the holster I grabbed.

A friend of mine has a Sig 938. It's a perfect small 9mm. Without a holster blended well in my slacks pocket.

Just like this one. It's not ideal, just like this handgun for carry use.

I love my Milt Sparks Versamax II IWB holster. Fit and finish is fantastic.

I have one just like this also but it sits in a drawer after I got the DeSantis pocket.
DeSantis has the rubber sticky stuff on the outside so when I pull the 26 out of my pocket, the DeSantis stays put.
