I've been away for a little while, and lurking for a little while with nothing to say. I mostly just plug away a truck load at a time here and there. The thing is, for some reason the firewood Gods smile upon me. I have no idea why. I've over fired stoves, burned things down, lit things on fire that shouldn't be, etc but for some reason I'm blessed at being able to find dry, dead standing BL all the time. I'm such a wood snob i don't ever take anything that would have to sit for more than a year to dry. Oh well.
This pic is a truckload 4 rows deep. Dead dry locust from a wooded lot about 50 yards from my driveway.

One of the nice parts of being ahead is
    "wood snobbery" .
Although, just getting dry locust is taking it to another level :) :)

    Nice score

    Nice score!

    I'm an oak snob....:(

3 cords of pin oak for the upcoming season
3 cords of red & white oak for 15/16
working on splitting red & white oak for 16/17 (delayed due to an injury :headbang:)

I would love to get my hands on some dead black locust though! Congrats......

Is it snobbery to have all that nice locust? If so, be a snob and be proud.
