    Good morning all and happy 2020! It seems crazy that it is actually 2020 already. I can remember when saying the year 2000 sounded strange.

    Anyway I hope you all have a great day! Does anyone intend to eat pork and sauerkraut? I had some last night and will probably have more today. It will be an interesting couple of days here :fart::fart::fart:

    Nope, but black eyes and a smoked ham bone is on the order for supper.... Ham bone, onions, and garlic are already in the slow cooker... Peas will be in about 4 hours... :D

    Mmmm.... sounds like pea soup.

    I used to throw everything into a pot. I've recently gone to boiling just the ham bone, for a few hours. I'll then fish it out and pick off any meat still on the bone. The resulting broth is what I use to make the soup, including any meat from the bone.

    Good morning. I actually managed to stay up to see the ball drop and then slept in till a little before 8. Got snow overnight. Maybe half an inch or so. Getting light snow now. Jeff is your mom and helper coming to your house for breakfast and how his your mom doing? Have a good day all.
