    20f this morning.

The radio says 12" from the storm but looking out there it seems there may be a bit more here.

I'll have a real close up inspection of exactly how much in a short while!

Here it comes. Started blowing and snowing a couple hours ago but it's still 34* outside. Truck is ready to go if we get enough to plow but I'm thinking we won't get all that much here. Wood racks in the cellar are 3/4 full of nice dry hardwoods. 74* in the house. We're ready. Now if I could just get this nagging knee healed up...

They seem to be to cool to play in the snow. Just me and Floyd enjoy it now.

Not much I think. Pretty dark when I left for work.

More like 14" here when I did the removal. I am pretty sure that somehow, the bottom 6-7" was permanently attached to the ground with some sort of adhesive! Not ice, mind you, just more like "white cement" that someone here properly called it... :D

    Still no plow. :headbang:

Try this on your knee, seriously. This stuff is miraculous for bruises, joint pain and arthritis. It’s changed my life and my wife’s as well. This specific brand works best for us and it’s available in several sizes.

It’s 31 here now and I believe it’s almost done snowing and sleeting. I cleaned up once but gotta go back and get the couple inches that fell since this morning. We got around 14” I’d say over 2 days so it looks like winter again. At least there’s no real cold behind it so we won’t be stuck with a lot of ice. Next system coming looks more like rain.

I just got back from an appointment with my knee surgeon. I thought I might have damaged something in there last time I loaded the wood racks in the basement. He said everything in there is solid and tight, but the arthritis is pretty bad. I'll have to give some of that a try. I haven't been using anything other than Naproxen Sodium for breakfast and an evening snack.

    Thanks for the tip.

Checked weather and radar this morning
Stated it was snowing and radar showed we where in the middle of it. Imagine my surprise (don't know why) not a flake of snow anywhere. Did start around 10:30 but wasn't sticking. About 2 I put Holly out with a rib bone. About 10 min. later, snowing and blowing to beat it all. Went to let her in and she is just covered in snow. Now where she was sitting she was still getting snowed on. We have a covered porch and winter time we put plastic panels up keep the snow out. I think she was sitting there waiting for the snow and wind to stop so she could go back to her bone. Lol

Got a bit of snow. Enough so that everything is white but don't expect it will last too long. Supposed to get a bit warmer again but at least today below freezing.

Just lit off a small maple cocktail (sugar and silver) after last night's load did the work today. This 30* business sure makes it easy to keep up! Moved some snow and slush today here and abroad. Very glad to be back in a plow instead of fooling with a blower with this goofy cement snow!

Small load of Osage in the stove tonight. We're warming to the 40's again so this should last a week or more. :loco: ;)

29 and 76 here this morning still burning coals. We ended up with just over a foot of white stuff that didn’t end until yesterday afternoon. Supposed to be above freezing for a few days so that’ll help settle things down some.
Happy New Year FHC! I hope there’s not too many sore heads out there this morning.

Warm at 29°F here with snow. At or above freezing until the weekend. Only 44" of snow for the season. 60" shy by this time last year.
