24°F with snow & sleet. I don't know if we'll see the snow amounts they are predicting, but this storm is supposed to last another 36 hours with 35mph gusts. Loaded the oakleaf with mixed hardwoods, warm inside!

Had 43 for a low this morning and it is 50* now. Started out with rain and it has been a mud pit out there. It has cleared off. It has cleared off and partly cloudy skies so hoping the sun will take care of some of the mud.

Highways turned to slop, plows and salt can't keep up.

99 was out for an appointment and mentioned that a couple drivers were nice enough to drive completely into the ditch so the trucks wouldn't have to drive around them! People will just not learn to slow down for the road conditions. :picard:

Just got done shoveling the driveway and that dang stuff is so heavy that it must be compacting instantly as it hits the ground! Wow was it ever heavy! Measured only 3" but weighed like 23"!

Took a quick skip to the cottage this morning before the snow started and the highways were already slushy.

That’s right Maina we are cooler but hot enough that’s for sure. One of the Queeensland outback pubs recently had 54c I saw on fb. Melbourne has 3 days over 40 in Dec which is unusually warm. Jan/ Feb are the hotter months.

With the weather we're having today, sleet, snow, some freezing rain, etc., I've been burning mostly red oak and hickory today. Not too cold out there, high 20's / low 30's, but, it's keeping our home very comfortable.

Same here in the whites. We had freezing rain for about 20 minutes. They were way off on the snow sleet line. I may have asked before, what part of nh you from roughly?

More than halfway to our forecast goal as of now. An easy 8" of fresh snow out there. Low 20's but no real wind to speak of.

Our road did not get plowed today. No surprise.

And, you have me beat! Only about 4" snow last night another inch or so of sleet, back to snow, and it'll be snowing through tomorrow night/ Wednesday morning. Well see what happens.

26 and still snowing, 76 inside, coals so far. Another wet heavy mess to clean up when it quits later. Looks like another 6” so far on top of the 6” yesterday. Glad a lot of people are off today! Hope there aren’t too many drunken fools out tonight especially in this weather. We’ll be nice and cozy by the stove.

36 outside and the wind is howling. As wet as the ground is from rain there are probably going to be a lot of trees come down. Hope the power stays on.

Haven't ventured out to the boiler yet...but I'm sure it is still working on whatever I put in there last night.
