We shall see. Generator is ready to go, chainsaw is ready if needed, plenty of seasoned wood on hand (16% mc), plenty of fresh gas ⛽️, many gallons of water ready as well. Fingers crossed that this storm isn’t as bad as predicted.

Looks like you folks are well prepared. Ice is the worst winter weather imo. Been years since we got that much here, but it ruined a lot of stuff. I hope it's weaker & less dangerous than predicted for all. Be safe & check in when you can.

1" of ice...good gracious if we got anywhere near that much in this part of Va we'd be screwed. Lot of times our ice is really freezing rain, which really brings down the trees and power lines. Stay safe and warm folks.

Starts at 6:00 tomorrow morning (it must plan on attacking a little earlier than dawn) with over a foot in my blessed area!

Expect 2-3" per hour at times.

West of the U.P. may be hit harder.

Both areas will be heavy wet (heart attack) snow.

I can't find much of a forecast. Seems all over the place. One says ice, another says snow. All agree on late Monday for it to move in here. I usually go to NOAA web site. I'll have to listen to the TV tonight and see what they are predicting. Haven't listened to the TV for a few days. The news often makes me angry and regretful that I turned it on!

Still rain here. Just got done tending the burn barrel - prefer to do that in the rain for safety. Doesn't feel like it's going to be ice, but I guess we'll find out in the morning! I'm on vacation until Thursday, and don't have to leave the house til Friday. Lots of vittles and beverages on hand - plenty of wood right outside the door... Got some wood cut today, it was beautiful out earlier! I hope all who must travel are fortunate enough to miss the mess, and incur no damage to self or property! Been there, done that plenty of times! Ice is a brute!!

If you get an inch of ice it’s not branches down, rather whole trees, power lines, transformers, a real mess! Get the saws ready, gas up the genny and don’t park your cars anywhere near trees. Don’t ask me how I know.
I hope it stays warm enough so the ice does not happen

This mornin's guessers are saying we're in between the 3"-6" zone vs the 6"-10" zone... looks like you're gonna get more Well Seasoned near the big mt. I wish it was a bit colder, so it would be lighter snow to move around after. Still, a lot better than ice...
