Wow amateur cutter that looked like a great time and spending it with good friends makes it super! Surely wish I had a few big elm like that here but they just don't make it to that size any more. I do have several dead ones that need cutting. Hope I can get it done this winter but not sure I can the way things are going.
So sad to say that it might have to happen. I've tried to cut twice so far but basically a no-go. Really hurt me to let all this great weather pass by without being able to take advantage of it. I did stack a little wood and cover some but that is all. And then one pile I wanted to stack was still froze down! Even with all the warm weather but I did not check for the past several days; just was not able to stack even if it was loose. You may as well know, it is almost certain that I will be having some surgery soon. Not sounding great but it is getting so bad something has to be done. This time it is my neck, which, to me, is scary. But, we'll tackle it one day at a time.
Hey fellas, I was not going to state anything about this but it's really been working on me lately, especially when I can't do squat. Danged if this doesn't remind me of 2 years ago when some great guys showed up right after I got out of the hospital and did some needed work around here. I'm not ashamed that I shed a few tears that day...
Please don’t remind me.... I do however remember one of those hooligans remarking that I had found a butterfly when I was setting up a shot at the base of the red oak that Scotty climbed before the twins. I think it was Gary_602z that made the comment.... go figure, right?!
