I'll run an older saw for fun or until it acts up. Then it goes in the truck to be corrected in the shop and out come the MSxxxC-M saws. Time to work. ;):saw:

Before the 562 came along, this was the crew that did the lion's share of the work..

You got plenty to make others drool over your lineup.:jaw:

I bought a 251 when we bought the house and if I had it to do over I would have bought the 261 even though it's almost twice the money. I have about 15 tanks through the 251 and it's ok but just feels cheap compared to my buddies pro saws. As soon as he saw the single stud he said no way and from some things I've seen online I agree. I didn't do enough research and needed a saw ASAP without knowing the differences between saws. I did some noodling with it today and am quickly realizing it's made for a little cutting here and there which surprising isn't what I need. I'm using the saw about two or three times as much as I thought I would.

I sharpen the chain at least every other tank and it does cut 12 to 18" rounds pretty well with an 18" bar but I'm concerned about longevity. Next saw will be a 261.

Take it from some one someone who has been down that road. You may want to look at a 60cc saw as your next one.

I like my 261CM for what it is, but it's not the be all end all saw. After getting the 562 I find myself questioning the needed for the 261.

You will do just as jr says then you will want the 60cc then want a 40-50cc again then you will want an 85-95 check saw. Then a ported one. Ask how I know. I dont have a ported one yet but am now using a 85cc saw as my main one.

60cc is a good one saw plan, especially if there is significant noodling involved. The 562 or the new 362 CM are great models to check out.

Another great 60 cc machine is the 6400. It can be had for much less money than the other Pro model saws out there.

Just received my 6400 today

    Those saws are just slick...
    And bullet proof...
Did that one come with a cat style muffler?

It had a Catalyst in it, but the previous owner (dlg84 I think that is his user name) Opened it up, removed the cat, and opened the exhaust port. I must say, he did a very good job. Clean work. And that coming from a guy with severe OCD. The only thing that would make it look better is a dual port, but he left a lot of room for improvement under the stock deflector.

I'm gonna run it as is. When I send it out, I will let them decide on whether it needs opened anymore
