43* still a cold stove. Furnace has only run once this morning. Sitting at 67* inside. Lots of cooking later will heat up the place.

Merry Christmas to everyone, I hope you have a great day. May the upcoming year be the best year to date.

It’s a warm-14 with the high expected to be-9 birch has the house toasty.

Merry Christmas and happy New Year’s!

We got down to a fridgid :D32 degrees overnight. 49 now. Had some sun off and on today. None yesterday.

We were remembering some warm Christmas days. 50 forecast today but the record was set in 1982. We had moved from the UP to where we live now and were simply amazed when it got well in the 60's that day. Amazingly we had a repeat of it I think the first week of January.

Yeah, I lot a piece of apple and hickory just because it's Christmas. We had to turn the blower almost off for the insert. It would get too warm otherwise.

It's already 50° outside. It was definitely foggy last night and this am. Supposedly this is the warmest Christmas since 1994.

58 here, cold stove. They are calling for 60 tommorrow. Looking like it’s going to be mild for the next 10 days. I’m tired of shoulder wood! I guess it could be worse! Hope everyone had a good xmas.

Silver and sugar maple doing it here. 27* and not supposed to get much colder overnight. Used apple for the morning fire to keep the Christmas tradition alive. Enjoying a Cohiba and some port wine while wife and oldest/youngest run out for Chinese food. Middle kid (3) is fast asleep - Christmas was mostly about her this year, and she LOVED it!

Just got in and we're having a light rain/drizzle now! Just barely above freezing for the temps.

    36° now. Foggy.

I restarted the stove after not reloading after the apple and hickory from this am.

I've got ash and silver maple in the stove now.

20 and 76 still on coals. Looks like a relatively mild weather week ahead.
