I don't know why, but it made me think of this song/group. Probably the techno/electronic/synthesized style?

Yeah, I guess they could be considered a major pioneer in electronica. At least in Germany. I actually had that in vinyl back in the day, but it wasn't something I wore out. Course, I put a lot of stuff on tape (reel to reel) back then because, who wanted to be playing DJ, slave to a turntable ?

He has a lot of sound ideas/perspectives. I don't agree with living credit card free though.

Had some guest singers in church this evening. Very nice voices of a mother/daughter duet.

Peart set an athletic standard in rock drumming, along with all of the lyrical work for Rush. An amazing talent. So sad. RIP Neil... thanks for all of the inspiration.

Every once in a while, I'll go find this video of Rush just starting out as pups (in terms of their incredibly long career) Ah to be that young again...

Now, it's really cool that Neil finally took a well deserved bow "out front", on their last show, after never leaving the "backline" for 40 years. Really good docu btw...

Among my favorite Rush songs out of so many other good ones.

I was saddened to hear about Neil Peart's passing. Great drummer and band of musicians from our neighbor Canada.

One of my first record purchases was Rush 2112. I was 13 years old. We were living in Hawaii at the time. My friend's older sister's boyfriend brought over some marijuana, and we indulged in a bit of it. They called it "Puna Bud." Anyways, it was pretty strong. After managing to get in a bit of the psychoactive smoke, despite coughing out a lot of it, I put on some headphones and cranked that baby up. I distinctly remember closing my eyes and being able to isolate each player. I could see them playing in my mind's eye...Neil Peart in particular, and his playing was a transcendental experience. I was already a budding ragtime pianist at the time, which (both the music and the piano itself) is a percussive endeavor, and my perception of his music heightened my sense of rhythm from that day on, if that makes any sense. It is hard to put into words.

I remember this like it was yesterday. I didn't smoke any of the weed for many years after that, and never regularly since, but it was my first peak-experience of many since then, very much in line with those described by Huxley, Bucke, Maslow and others! I really don't regret it all. even though I know that my parents would not have approved!!!
