Got my backyard turkey broken down into parts and in some brine, the carcass making stock. Smoke the parts tomorrow.

The boiler was acting up this morning. Air damper was stuck so it took it all apart and lubed with ATF. Running good now.

Going to replace some failed glass in the kitchen window this afternoon....supposed to hit 50 so a good day to have a hole in your house.

Might tinker on the garage a little after that if I have time.

    Christmas party this evening.

Sorry to hear you have come down sick. I think I am on the mend. Just dealing with my ears plugging up first thing in the morning. Enjoy the Christmas cookies.

I don't even get to go there! lol.
Seriously, we don't go out to eat much now we are older. I'm on an Rx that suppresses my appetite, and my husband is a picky eater. It's easier to get takeout, since we end up bringing more than half of a restaurant meal home anyway.

I need an Rx that suppresses my appetite! Jenn and I go out usually once every week or two, mostly to get away from the kids. Where I eat for work, and where I eat with my wife are two totally different things.

Midwinter Lol I do that but Chaz not so much. Sometimes I think he is a bottomless pit. But Holly sure enjoys the leftovers.

Yeah, it really ticked me off today when I went to use a screwdriver. Would not fit. Had to go back to garage and get a metric one.

All the talk about warm weather and salty roads got me to thinking about earlier this week when we went to a doctor in the big city. Could hardly believe the parking lot and the drive going in. That place is all asphalt and usually really black. That day it was all white and it was not from snow!! What a waste of salt.

Then before we left we went to use the restroom which is in the hallway as there are many doctors in that building. I opened the door and darned near fell over. Talk about stink! And it was not from some bodily function either. Someone had been smoking some really funny weed and I'd never had it that strong. Wow... Probably a sign of things to come... But at least I did not stagger to the car as the other guy probably did.

Yesterday I had to give up on stacking wood as the pile was frozen. Did not matter we've had 50 for 2 days in a row but the stuff will just sit right there and wait until spring now.
