    Ha! Eat your heart out guys. I got a dish of freshly picked strawberries today! Oh how those first ones taste so good. Well, even the late ones taste good too.

    This was a couple days ago so I told the ornery one to keep an eye on the patch. She did!

    We had our first taste of the new plants yesterday. Wow! Not sure what variety, but much better than my last June berries (daughter weeded the wrong plants).

    IMG_20140605_081219_783.jpg I picked a gallon yesterday. Mine are almost done. Maybe another 4 days and they'll all be gone. Probably got 8 gallons so far...another 1-2 to go.

    We have everbearing variety, we get berries all summer albeit not as big as normal plants.....ours are still in blossoms....

    I like to just cut them up in a bowl, and sprinkle a little suger on them. My granny used to fix them like that for me when I was just a little feller. :drool:
