We hit the 50* mark. I gave the truck a quick bath.

I'm sure it will get salty again tomorrow morning on my way to work, but for now it looks good.

Drove out to Virginia Wednesday to pick up my grandson at Ft Lee. Had to be somewhat close to Eric VW place. Came across I64 and then North on I81.
We got home late Thursday. Went to my daughter's in Ft Wayne yesterday. Done with this traveling stuff. Ars is sore from all this seat time.
Great day outside today but I was stuck in the house watching my elderly mother. Wife went out to finish shopping. She deserved the time out.
Finished up the last batch of Carmel Corn and got 2 batches of pizzella batter made up. That should finish my Christmas goodie making.
Half ars cleaned up my mess. Didn't want to do to good of job. Wife expects a he!! of a mess when I go to cooking. After all I want to live up to her expectations. Suppose to be nice tomorrow, Need to bring another half cord up to the house and I have some logs to cut up. All this after a quick (hopefully) trip to town to finish shopping.

Took a quick trip to the cottage and grabbed the vacuum as I think 99'smay be on the way out.

Built a fire and had a cigar. Well, part of one anyway.

Sunny day and the temp got up to 40! Highways are bare!

In some ways the metric system stuck. Look at any vehicle and they are all metric, us made or not. I haven't wrenched on any newer Harley or any us made tractor made in the last 20 years, but I'd be shocked if they weren't all metric fasteners on them now.

Yesterday I helped my spearing buddy get his dark house set on the lake. We sat in respective spots for 2 hours without a fish seen. Our lake is the cloudiest I have ever seen it.

Today my wife and I did the coffee for the congregation at our church.

No fire in the hearth today. It is 42f and sunny outside. We are making a lasagna, having some wine, and watching the Cowboy's/Eagles game with our boys. Our middle son just got home from his Army National Guard drill at Camp Ripley a few hours north, so he is pretty tired and hungry.

The pizza joints won't drive 8 miles out? I suppose. When I lived in Maine they wouldn't deliver to my house and it was probably less distance than 8 miles. What's funny is that you can go and pick up the same pizza and even without the special pizza heat retaining satchel, it's hot when you get to your house.

No, still a mix of standard and metric.

That is part of what frustrates me.

I have in my car toolbag..
1/4" ratchet set, with matching metric sockets
3/8" ratchet set with matching metric sockets
    Wrenches, both standard and metric

EDIT.. Oh.. both regular and deep well sockets.

Screwdrivers in both flathead and phillips head, as well as a bit set screwdriver set that includes torx and allen head bits.

Of course adjustable wrenches, pliers, and some electrical tools as well.

Kind of a nuisance to carry around, but, I don't like needing something and not having access when necessary.

some kind of a storage or display structure. it's for my grandparents for Christmas. Could be a little shelf or a cabinet topper or some such, I wanted to make a work of art with a practical use. But I couldn't easily think of something specific, so I tried to make something that could be fairly easy to adapt to numerous uses.
