Not really a soap box worthy rant, just 3:30 AM mental wanderings.

Heck of a lot better than waking you up, you let him out and he just looks at you.

Yeah, I'll take being woken up vs waking up to unpleasantness.

Boy, that chart really answers your question Chaz. It shows that clearly the metric system is screwed up. I mean, why would a simple measurement of an inch turn into something with decimals? :bug:

    Good for you.

    Mines usually the opposite.

I know that a lot of our elec inefficiency is with the hot water heater.

I want to get the outside of the house insulated this year, and will also look at putting insulation around the HWH.

Really enjoying the sunshine. Don't remember the last time we've been able to enjoy sunshine like this in December.

William must've pulled a hammy or had a muscle strain in his back right leg. He's been a little off of his usual duties for the last 2 days because of that. He wasn't putting any weight on that leg during that time. This am, even at 3:30 he was able to put weight on it, so that's good. He still seems good so far today as well, so that's a great thing.

I wish our utilities company broke that comparison out vs our neighbors. All we get is degree heating days for this year and last year, with this year's and last year's usage for your home.

If anything, our system is messed up, and the metric system is easier to understand.

My left hand span is 8" - I can measure things really well that way. Lets see, in metric it is, um (wait, I'm carrying the 2), 203.2 mm. Then if something is 3 hand spans long it is 24" (or 2'). Lets see, in mm, it's, hold on 609.6 or 60.96 cm. Thanks, I'll stick to the 2' because it's a much easier number to remember. Instead of measure twice, cut once, I'd have to measure something about 10 times because I'd forget it before I got it written down (my memory sux too).
