I was not looking at any responses earlier today. Trying to keep moving on the project. But you were thinking like I was Lukem. I have pulled many stumps and rocks over the years. And the hoe can be very useful with the leverage.

Thanks Striker, I think the power line was the old one. I tried to stay away from where I know I buried it. The old one was pretty close to the stump I removed. Almost positive I am okay. I pulled on the wire I found and it came out of the ground in a 6 foot section. I remember I had to cut it off below the ground where it was sticking up from several years back when my father and brother did some foundation work and it got cut by mistake. Pretty sure it was the old one.

 

Thanks M.M. I would not have been able to touch that with my Kubota I use to have. The backhoe, well the whole machine, was not as strong.

 

Oh my. That rake saves so much labor. Thanks. I think if I could get all you guys from the club to come over to my house for beers a couple times a year I could go ahead and sell the Bobcat though. With enough good beer and good food you guys could dig and move these rocks no problems. Egyptians. Phhhhh.

I sure did Raybonz. The Bobcat sure does make it easier. But it is not easy. Fun, YES! But, I have to always remind myself to be careful. I had a close call today. Could have been hurt. Makes ya think. Have to go slow, take your time, and be careful. How the hell you been man?

 

Good. Busy, but good. Two pieces of property to keep up with and try to make some improvements to. Work giving some overtime out. A little side job off and on for a few weeks past. Kids with baseball and softball right now. Try to take the wife out for dinner and a movie every once and a while. Try to spend some time with wife and kids. Hey. What did you say your name was again?

 

Thanks WeldrDave. I did for a while. Made a full day of work today. First went to the dump for parents and us. Then got diesel fuel, ouch, then went to work at the camp. Did a little brush hoggin and then moved some brush with forks, then on to the fun of the stumps and rock. I think I liked todays job better than I will like tomorrow's job. I had to put some crazy spray chit on all my work clothes that some guy from the land of the woods sold me. If that tells ya anything. ?

Thanks. Do you mean was it light for the backhoe? No. That friggin rock weighs a lot. It is tough moving it around and the Bobcat is a 9600 lb. machine built for construction work. Pretty strong. But Little Timmy got some weight to him.
