    In the short time I have belonged to this site, I have already noticed something. I belong to another site like this that I know some others on here belong to as well, I joined it 8 years ago. I am not knocking that site at all, it is a great site, but it seems the folks on here are alot friendlier, more personable. On that site I have never really felt at home as I do here. Seems as though if you don't own or want a 70cc Pro saw to cut firewood with, than your thoughts or posts do not matter. I relly like the friendly, laid back atmosphere, here on this site. Just wanted to say THANKS for making me feel welcome.

    I love this place! I consider the members my second family and heck I like them better than some of my relatives :rofl: :lol:
    In all seriousness this place is great and has a great atmosphere. I really appreciate everything the mods go through just to keep it here for all of us to enjoy and look forward to meeting even more of the members face to face at the next GTG!:thumbs:

    Thats what Scotty wanted, along with the mods from the getgo, since October of last year. Sure, things get thrown off course, but things get back in route soon enough. The members here feel the same, and we are like a big family. There are get togethers, secret santas, and loads of incredibly smart people here. We've even lost some members in death, but they are here in spirit. Wood, saws-old and new, firepits, stoves, recipes, hunting, just bullchitting, tons more, its here. So long as politics and bad attitude keep at bay, things get cut smoothly around here. Glad you noticed the atmosphere so quick! That says something!

    Hey at least it is still running....... Mine is in getting new injectors this week and hopefully thats it. I am about to buy a bumper sticker that says I once had some money but then I bought a cummins :( :rofl: :lol:

    Amen! There are a couple of other sights that fit the description you've provided, but I think I might just be a member on the same one as you. I'm a new member here as well and I have the same sentiments about the personable folks and laid back atmosphere.

    That's kinda what I'm feeling since I hit a deer and jack knifed a trailer in the same winter. That crap gets expensive! Even with insurance

    Is that the one they have at the Iowa Beer Tent at State Fair every August or a different one? Havent read much local news past few days. Am booked money-wise for stuffing my face this weekend already :D - Steak Night at local AMVETS post,its the 1st Friday of the month & the 36th annual Greek Food Fair this Saturday/Sunday.....:drool::thumbs: May gain a couple pounds & have a thinner wallet,but I'll burn off the calories by Tuesday :rofl: :lol:
