Set up and went at it from 8:30 to 2. I'm pooped. Beautiful cool and sunny day with plenty of wind. I love it. Ran 2 tanks in the splitter which does just enough splitting time to fill the trailer twice. Had to use up space still left in the shed. (Couldn't stand it) Haven't started the addition to the shed yet. Boom did a good job lifting the heaviest yet oak rounds... maybe over 100 lbs. Good day, for me anyway... I noticed my single stringers under the woodshed are sagging a bit... Double ones are fine. Shoulda, woulda, coulda...
Great pics, a pretty day and you got a whole lot of work done... Good Job! Should have a feeling of accomplishment after getting it done. P.S. that there is one nice strong shed.

I hear that loud and clear. My son is your age and lives on a 1 acre lot. He loves it there but wants WOODS. Ha. My daughter and SIL live in Portland, Maine's biggest city, and have a lot about the size of a big rug. SIL is a woods guy too and loves to get up to the cabin when he can, which isn't often. I tell them, and you, as life goes on, you'll prolly find yourselves living in opener and opener spaces... ... in the meantime, us older fella's will try to keep the path trimmed for ya.

That's what I was thinkin yesterday too. Didn't think I'd made a dent! ... ... Then, I "talked" with a few of my buds on here and looked more at everyone's amazing stack pics and... ahhhhhhhh, eyes back on the goal... enjoy working up firewood year round, a little at a time, without getting hurt, while getting exercise and being outside in the woods. Talk about skiddin off the rails... whew... that was a close one!
now you have me wishing i would have built my woodshed on supports like yours. oh well maybe for the addition down the road.
How come? Long as the woods off the ground, should be fine. I only went to all that cause that existing garden shed I attached to was up in elevation from where the shed was going. When I add on the end, it's gonna sit on blocks and stay as low as I can. Will be easier to stack the high stuff near the front too. Your's is perfect, and will be standing long after mine's gone... (I noticed I shoulda used all double stringers under that floor. The 2 singles in each bay are bowing down 1/2" in 10' span... even with the 2x flooring... )
You're so right... anything we spend our $$$ on, that you can hold in your hand, has to be better than any payback these days, from a bank.
